Bags the Silver Davey award in photography category

HYDERABAD:
It is a picture of hope that won him the honours. Srini Rao, Head of Hema Creative House, a city-based advertising agency won the Silver Davey International Award in the photography category for the year 2005.
The award-winning photograph captures the newfound optimism of women in Orissa, who have emerged from "crippling poverty to exciting entrepreneurship" with the micro-credit extended by Rao's client Asmitha Microfin Ltd.
"My dream was to win an international award for the Hyderabad ad circuit and I'm happy making it," Rao said on Thursday.
. "This award is a tribute to the talent of Hyderabad and more awards can be lined up if only we churn out works sincerely." For this award winning moment Rao and his team camped for ten days in Orissa. Davey awards honour the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide and is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
