Ballot on strike

HYDERABAD : The Joint Council of Action, consisting of representative federations of 34 lakh Government employees, including the South Central Railway Employees' Sangh began conduct of strike ballot from January 3 to 10 to elicit opinion of railway staff on the proposed indefinite strike.

Places

Strike ballot is being conducted by the administrative office branches consisting of Headquarters accounts branch by Chairman N. Krishna Unni, Technical branch by Chairman A.V.R. Subrahmanyam and non-technical branch by Chairman M. Chandrasekhar.

Main demand

The main demand was for setting up of the Sixth Central Pay Commission and granting of interim relief and other pending issues, according to a press release.
