Backlog posts for handicapped will be filled: YSR

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday said the Government was in the process of filling up all backlog vacancies reserved for the physically handicapped in all departments.

He also announced that from April 2006 pension for physically handicapped persons would be increased to Rs. 125 per month from the current Rs. 100.

He disclosed this while speaking to S. Muralikrishna, general secretary, Sri Vijaya Durga Andhra Pradesh Association for the Blind at the airport after seeing off President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
