Thiruvananthapuram: Three persons were killed when a private bus hit the autorickshaw in which they were travelling, at Poovampara in Attingal police station limits on Thursday evening. The deceased were identified as Majeed, 55, his wife, Tahira Beevi, 45, and the autorickshaw driver, Fumamudeen, all of Alamcode. The police said the private bus rammed the autorickshaw from behind when the autorickshaw, which was behind a KSRTC bus, applied brakes. The autorickshaw was crushed between the two buses under the impact of the collision, a police official said. The staff of the private bus fled from the scene. The driver of the private bus has been booked on the charge of rash and negligent driving.
