Letters to the Editor
The editorial, "Reaching science to the farm" (Jan. 5), has rightly mentioned that two-thirds of the population still depends on farming for income. However, unfortunately, the Government's efforts to enhance their income has proved inadequate. Enhancing soil health, water harvesting, and improving infrastructure are all laudable steps. But who will provide the funds for them?
S. Mahaboob Basha,
This is the time to introduce technology-aided farming. There is no time to wait for technology from other countries. Indian researchers should rise to the occasion.
