BIDAR: Minister for Forests and district in-charge Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli said on Friday that rumours about him trying to get Deputy Commissioner Munish Moudgil transferred for leading a demolition drive in the city are false and baseless. "I am not trying to transfer him. I have been an MLA four times and a Minister twice and I have not tried to transfer any officer. I do not interfere in administrative matters. If the district administration is going ahead with the demolitions, let it go ahead," Mr. Nagamarapalli told presspersons after a meeting at the Kannada Sahitya Parishat. The district administration has issued eviction notices to Mr. Nagamarapalli's daughter Sarswati and Bidar MP Narsingrao Suryavanshi. According to sources, 20 per cent of their houses are on encroached land and these parts will be demolished.
