Mumbai: Following strong criticism of the quality of pitches prepared for the Ranji Trophy, the BCCI has asked the zonal representatives of the Pitch & Grounds committee to supervise the preparation of pitches for the Ranji Trophy semifinals and final. "I have asked the zonal representatives in the BCCI Pitch & Grounds Committee to approach the preparation of the pitch for the Ranji Trophy semifinals and final as they would for an international match,'' said Niranjan Shah, BCCI secretary. The seventh and final rounds of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group will be played from January 10 to 13 and from January 11 to 14.
