NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Friday extended the stay on passing of a final order in the extradition proceedings against Maninder Singh Kohli to face trial in England for sexual assault and later murder of British woman Hannah Foster. Justice R.C. Jain of the High Court extended the October 21 stay order of last year till January 23. Kohli was brought here on September 10, 2004, on a production warrant issued by the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM), Ravinder Dudeja. He was arrested on July 15, 2004 at Kalimpong in Darjeeling in West Bengal and was later lodged in Chandigarh jail in connection with another case there. Kohli through his counsel C.S. Bakshi has moved the Court challenging the ACMM's order rejecting plea for summoning certain prosecution witnesses from England.
