Bad state of road irks BJP
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
Members of the city unit of the BJP on Friday protested in a novel manner over the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike's "misdeeds."
Demanding asphalting of the Seshadripuram Main Road in front of Nataraj theatre, the members planted saplings on the road as a mark of protest. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) had dug up the stretch to lay under ground drainage (UGD) lines three months ago. Though work had been completed, the road had not been restored properly, the members said.
They demanded that the BMP immediately asphalt all roads in Seshadripuram and make them usable.
