R-Systems to raise capital

The company has domain expertise in supply chain solutions

CHENNAI: R-Systems International, one of the 500 fastest growing companies in the U.S. is planning to raise capital to the tune of $15 million to expand its operations in India. The company has an employee strength of 800 at its India development centres located in Noida, Pune and Chennai.

The U.S. centre is located in El Dorado Hills (CA). Besides it has a significant presence in the ASEAN area with its local headquarters in Singapore by acquiring ECnet, a Singapore based company, two years-ago. The company has domain expertise in collaborative supply chain solutions and the Singapore facility would act as the centre for supply chain management (SCM) excellence.

Addressing presspersons here, on Saturday, Rekhi Singh, Chairman and CEO of the company, said Intel and GE Capital had made strategic investments in the company with each holding 11 per cent of the paid-up capital. Founded by Mr. Rekhi Singh in 1991 in the U.S. and India simultaneously, the company was having over 50 Fortune 1,000 mid-sized U.S. customers.

Mr. Singh said the company, with its `pSuite', was a trusted product development partner for over 30 product and services companies.
