Belgaum: Minister for Science and Technology Basavaraj Horatti has cariaticised the Government's education policy and the "discrimination" against managements of educational institutions in the private sector. Speaking on the second day of the golden jubilee celebrations of Karnataka Law Society's (KLS) Gogte College of Commerce (GCC) here on Saturday, he lauded the contributions made by private managements in the field of education. An "apathetic" bureaucratic attitude towards private institutions is blocking the growth of education at a time when it is clear that the Government alone cannot provide education to all. The plight of Government institutions has gone from bad to worse, he said. District in-charge and Minister for Agriculture Marketing, Prakash B. Hukkeri, who is a GCC alumni, paid tributes to the institution and teachers. Janata Dal(United) leader M.P. Nadagouda lauded the efforts made by KLS in providing education to students in north Karnataka.
