DUBAI: Doctors attending on ailing Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, have ruled out his chances of resuming work, but have expressed optimism about saving his life. The Israeli army radio announced that doctors would start bringing Mr. Sharon out of induced coma on Monday, after examining the latest scan of his brain. Doctors said there was a reduction in the swelling in Sharon's brain following three operations to stem bleeding, after the Prime Minister suffered a severe cerebral haemorrhage on Wednesday. One of the surgeons treating Mr. Sharon said he was confident that he would survive, but his return to his duties as Prime Minister was out of question. Meanwhile, caretaker Prime Minister Ehud Olmert chaired his first weekly Cabinet meeting, where he pledged that the Government would continue to function.
