Bidar: Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh has asked the district administration to stop the drive to demolish illegal buildings on encroached land in Bidar. "You are directed not to proceed with plans of evicting people in Survey number 15 and 16 of Gullar Haveli area or of demolishing structures there, till further orders," a letter from the Chief Minister's office to Deputy Commissioner Munish Moudgil said. The letter was received on Saturday. The Deputy Commissioner has been asked to furnish details of the case to the Revenue Secretary. Sources said that Mr. Singh had summoned Mr. Moudgil to Bangalore to discuss the matter on Monday. The district administration has demolished over 30 buildings that had come up on the land of the proposed government medical college here. The houses of Bidar MP Narsingrao Suryavanshi and Minister for Forests and district in-charge Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli's daughter Saraswati have also been identified for partial demolition.
