NEW DELHI: Indian classical danseuse Yamini Reddy begins her New Year with a performance at the ongoing Katha Asia Utsav 2006 at India Habitat Centre here this coming Wednesday. Yamini, who had to her credit a series of successful performances last year, was also named the "Future Face of Dance" by a leading English daily coming out from the Capital. The dance performance, especially choreographed for the Katha Asia Utsav, will be an unique presentation of North meets South. During the one-hour-long performance that will begin at 7 p.m., Yamini will present items choreographed in Kuchipudi classical dance to the tune of Hindustani devotional music. Yamini gave her first solo performance at the tender age of three. And since then there has been no looking back for her. Blessed with a sculpted figure, a perfect visage and most importantly scintillating grace in her dancing movements, Yamini has several riveting performances to her credit. A multi-faceted personality, Yamini has done her post graduation in business administration.
