Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Kerala and south interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are:

Pamban 4, Sriperumbudur (Kanchipuram dt) 3, Kanchipuram and Sivaganga 2 each and Jayamkondam (Perambalur dt), Sirkali (Nagapattinam dt) and Minicoy 1 each. A number of stations recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 14 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
