Staff Reporter

Patancheru : A man allegedly axed his father Yellappa, 45, stepmother Santhamma, 30, and step sister on Saturday midnight at Sultanpur village in Patancheru mandal.

According to the police, the accused, Gorikati Raju, works at the Century matrices, recently shifted back to his father's house along with his wife Bhavani. He wanted a share in Rs. 3 lakhs accrued from the sale of land at Mallareddypet.

Raju picked up a quarrel with his father at the time of registration. However, village elders intervened and convinced Raju that the money was needed to clear debts made at the time of his sister's wedding.

However, Raju, who was the son of Yellappa's first wife, had different plans. He allegedly axed to death his father, stepmother and stepsister. Their bodies were found in a pool of blood.

According to sources, Raju surrendered to the IDA Bollaram police.
