Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday once again accused the Congress of hatching a conspiracy against the ruling Samajwadi Party, by tapping the phones of one of its prominent leaders and said the struggle on the issue would continue till the end. Addressing the youth wings of party here, Mr. Yadav said the phone tapping issue was not only against party MP Amar Singh, but the entire party. "The conspiracy hatched by Congress is against the party and not any individual leader," he added. Calling upon youths to be wary of campaign launched by political opponents, particularly the Congress, he said the Opposition aimed at hitting the party hardest. Commenting on the law and order issue raked up by the opposition parties against the state government, the Chief Minister claimed that the situation in U.P. was far more conducive than several other States. "It was part of their (Opposition's) effort to defame the SP Government in the State for gaining public sympathy," he added. Mr. Yadav, criticising the Centre's warm-hearted welcome to the Multi National Companies (MNCs) stated that these alien companies will endanger the country's economic interests by engulfing the domestic industry.
