ADILABAD: Adilabad Collector R. Subba Rao on Sunday asked parents of ashrama school boarders to keep a check on proper implementation of mid-day meal scheme. He said periodic inspections of hostels by parents would ensure quality food being supplied to students. At a district-level meeting of mandal samakhyas (women's self-help groups) at Utnoor mandal head quarter, the Collector implored the members of the self-help groups to push for family planning operations. He said a small family was essential for proper development. On the educational front, Mr. Subba Rao asked the officials concerned to make efforts for achieving better results in the seventh and SSC common board examinations. The Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Utnoor, Project Officer Saurabh Gaur assured the tribals of financial assistance. Officials distributed four ambulances to mandal samakhyas of Bejjur, Wankidi, Tiryani and Bazarhatnoor. Three more ambulances would be given to the PHCs of Jainoor, Gudihatnoor and Ginnedhari soon.
