Chennai : Apollo Hospitals launched `Apollo Life', a quarterly health magazine to be made available to the public, on Sunday. The magazine, aimed at increasing awareness levels among people, will cover medical and related issues. "Each issue will focus on a particular theme. The current issue is on stress management," said Srinidhi Chidambaram, Consultant, Health Communication, Apollo Hospitals. N.Ram, Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu , and noted dancer Anita Ratnam received the first two copies of the edition. "I am very happy that Apollo hospitals have ventured into medical journalism," Mr. Ram said. "In the field of medicine, there is always a tension between pursuit of excellence, being world class and being accessible and democratic. This is true of journalism, too," he added. Prathap Reddy, Founder and Executive Chairman, Apollo Hospitals, said that Apollo strove not only to treat the sick, but also to make the healthy, healthier.
The magazine will be available free of cost. For subscription, call 28296569 or write to healthfirst@apollohospitals.com
