HYDERABAD: The police arrested three youngsters from Bihar on the charge of abducting a boy to get back their money paid to a Hyderabad-based visa broker.

The abducted boy, Qamran, was rescued by a city police team from Sherpur village in East Champaran district of Bihar three days ago.

The three, belonging to Bihar had paid Rs 1.5 lakhs to Khaja Mujahid for visas to work in Dubai.

But when Mujahid could not provide them, the trio sought repayment. Mujahid had by then left for Dubai and the youth were asked to contact Rahman, a relative of Mujahid for money.

The trio, Hazrath Ali Khan, Mohd. Inzarul Khan and Mohd. Omar Khan, spent some time in Hyderabad, but the repayment date was postponed many times. Vexed over the delay and nonchalance of Mujahid, they decided to kidnap Qamran, son of Rahman and keep him hostage till the money was paid.

    Case of cheating

Initially, the parents thought the boy was missing and approached the police. But later, when they received a call from Bihar asking for repayment of money in exchange for the boy, the police sent a team which located the kidnapped boy near Sherpur. The trio was taken into custody, the East Zone DCP, K. Rajendranath Reddy told reporters.

He said a separate case of cheating was being registered against Mujahid who is now in Dubai. If only the trio had approached the police they would have done justice, he added.
