Dubai: Shane Bond stormed into the top 10 of the LG ICC player rankings after a successful ODI series against Sri Lanka, while New Zealand cemented its fourth position in the table, just four points behind Pakistan. However, Sri Lanka's horrific run it has now lost nine of its last 11 games relegated it to seventh place and it faces the prospect of having to play in the preliminary round of this year's ICC Champions Trophy in India. Bond, who returned to action after overcoming a back problem, missed the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy against Australia because of a groin strain. But now fit and firing once again, his nine wickets in four matches against Marvan Atapattu's side lifted him four places to 10th in the bowling list.
