AC Milan beats Parma

ROME: AC Milan beat Parma 4-3 on Sunday and moved ahead of rival Inter Milan into second place in Serie A. Milan led 3-1 at halftime and won despite allowing two second-half goals by Parma's Marco Marchionni, a player mentioned frequently in transfer speculation.

The results: At Rome (Italian league): AC Milan 4 bt Parma 3. Cagliari 2 bt Udinese 1. Chievo 3 bt Lecce 1. Messina bt Empoli 3-1, Lazio 4 bt Ascoli 1. Roma bt Treviso 1-0.

Saturday's results: Reggina drew with Fiorentina 1-1. Juventus bt Palermo 2-1.

At Madrid (Spanish league): Villarreal drew with Real Madrid 0-0, Real Zaragoza bt Alaves 2-0; Cadiz 1 bt Getafe 0, Celta Vigo bt Real Sociedad 1-0,
