HYDERABAD: Tamil Nadu clinched the first day's honours bundling out Karnataka for 210 on the first day of the three-day South Zone P.S. Ram Mohan Rao Trophy under-25 cricket tournament final at the Gymkhana Grounds here on Monday. Electing to bat, Karnataka failed to come good despite good starts. With S. Desappan (four for 24) and A. Avinash (three for 24) bowling in tandem, its woes only compounded. At close of play, Tamil Nadu was two for no loss. The scores: Karnataka 210 in 82.5 overs (Devraj Patel 30, Raju Bhatkal 56, Steve Lazarus 45, Chetan Williams 36, S. Desappan four for 24, A. Avinash three for 24) vs. Tamil Nadu two for no loss.
