JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Kalulal Gujjar, has said that the State Government's emphasis on promotion of Khadi and village industries would provide a sound basis for development of villages and encourage the unemployed youth to take up self-employment occupations. Mr. Gujjar, inaugurating a Khadi exhibition organised by the State Khadi and Village Industries Board and the District Industries Centre in Bhilwara over the weekend, said the use of Khadi would also promote the spirit of nationalism. The Khadi products were gaining popularity even in the foreign countries, he added. The Minister called upon the entrepreneurs to get full benefits of the Government's subsidy and training facilities to improve the quality of Khadi products. He said the sick units would get the Government support for their revival. Mr. Gujjar pointed out that the Khadi and Village Industries Board had decided to provide 30 per cent rebate in the margin money to the disabled people, widows and deserted women.
