THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Southern Railway will run special trains between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Madurai and Chennai Central on January 12, 14, 15 and 16 to clear the rush of commuters during Pongal and Makaravilakku at Sabarimala. According to Railways, the 688 Thiruvanananthapuram-Madurai Special would leave Thiruvananthapuram at 10 p.m. on January 12 to reach Madurai at 5.50 a.m. the next day. The train will stop at Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Maniyachi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudanagar and Tirumanaglam. The train will have one AC 3 Tier, six Second Class Sitting (Reserved), six General Second Class and two luggage-cim-brake van coaches. The 632 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 7.45 p.m. on January 14 to reach Chennai Central at 12.45 noon the next day. The train will have one AC 3-Tier, six Second Class Sitting (Reserved), six General Second Class and two Luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The 633 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 5.45 a.m. on January 15 to reach Chennai Central at 10.40 p.m. the same day. The train will have one AC Chair Car, six Second Class Sitting (Reserved) and six General Second Class and two Luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The 624 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 7.45 p.m. on January 16 to arrive at Chennai Central at 112.45 noon the next day. The train will have one AC 3-Tier, six Second Class Sitting (Reserved), six General Second Class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The 632, 633 and 634 special trains will have stops at Kollam, Kayamkulam, Changannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Podanur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Arakkonam railway stations.
