Project for speedy justice

NEW DELHI: The second phase of a pilot project to reduce congestion in Delhi courts will be over by February-end, an official statement said on Monday.

Called `The Indian Administration of Justice', the project is being carried out in 30 select courts in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank.

Second phase

Being implemented by the Department of Justice, the second phase began on January 1, 2005.

In the first phase, a diagnostic study was conducted and measures evolved that can be tested and implemented to bring about speedy justice. -UNI
