Hyderabad: A fresh wordy duel between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leadership and the Congress over separate Statehood for Telangana has begun with the former seeking a resolution on it in the forthcoming Congress plenary. Provoked by the TRS leadership claim that there was no mention of the second SRC in the pre-election understanding between the two parties, the PCC president K. Keshava Rao on Monday reminded the TRS leaders that the issue would be decided by the AICC president Sonia Gandhi. Khairatabad MLA P. Janardhan Reddy was the first to hit back at the Union Minister A. Narendra on Sunday over the latter's observation that the TRS could mess up things for the Congress if it continued to dilly dally on the issue. It was at a meeting of the employees where both of them were present. The APSRTC chairman Gone Prakasa Rao joined the chorus and went a step further and said that separate Telangana would not materialise under the present political scenario. He was echoing similar sentiment of another senior leader G. Venkat Swamy. Dr. Keshava Rao told reporters that Ms. Gandhi's would be the ultimate word on it and there was no point in raising the issue every now and then. The sub-committee was yet to submit its report and the AICC president would deal with it at the right time, he said advocating restraint on part of both the parties.
