Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday directed the Kerala Water Authority officials in Ernakulam to ensure that the water supply augmentation schemes for Cheranelloor and South Chitoor areas were completed within three months. Justice Thottathik B. Radhakrishnan issued the directive on a writ petition filed by Xavy Kurishuveettil complaining about the scarcity of drinking water in Cheranelloor and South Chitoor areas. The KWA took the stand that the water availability would be increase only when the drinking water augmentation scheme were implemented. The KWA submitted that the augmentation scheme was expected to be completed in three months.
