This Day That Age
The 20 KW medium-wave transmitter of All India Radio, Madras, located in Avadi, will go on the air from January 11. The entire installation project has been completed at a cost of nearly Rs.9 lakhs. This is the first high-power medium-wave transmitter in Madras. The programmes from the AIR studios at San Thome will be fed to the transmitter by telephone lines provided for the purpose by the P and T Department.
