Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and interior Karnataka.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are:

Ambasamudram (Tirunelveli dt) and Karaikudi (Sivagangai dt) 2 each, Kovalam (Kanchipuram dt) Naguneri (Tirunelveli dt), Melur (Madurai dt), Devakottai, Ilayankudi and Manamadurai (all Sivagangai dt), Sivagangai and Minicoy 1 each.

FORECAST (valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, coastal and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
