PONDICHERRY: The Lt. Governor M.M. Lakhera has extended Bakrid greetings to the people of Pondicherry. In his message, Mr. Lakhera said, "Bakrid illustrates the spirit of selflessness, compassion, sacrifice and brotherhood." He called upon the people to re-dedicate themselves to promoting universal brotherhood and compassion and care for the needy. The Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, wished them prosperity and happiness on the occasion.
