THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Water Resources Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the University Fitness Centre at the University Stadium on Wednesday. The fitness centre will have a well equipped modern gymnasium with a 16-work station multi gym, one 12-work station multi gym, one eight-work station multi gym, one heavy duty electronic tread mill, three electronic cycles, one manual tread mill, one vibrator, one rower, squat machine, and one elliptical trainers. The fitness centre has been established at a cost of Rs 12 lakh and can accommodate 40 persons at a time. It has also facilities for modern sauna bath, steam bath and Jacuzzi facilities. The centre also imparts training in yoga and meditation. The general public too can avail themselves of the facilities at the centre by paying a nominal monthly fee.
