HYDERABAD : Mohammadan Sporting Hockey Club and Nav Bharath Hockey Club were locked in a one-all draw in the A-1 division hockey league championship at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Tuesday. Just two minutes after the start, Arvind put Nav Bharat ahead with a fine solo effort. But, Sporting fought back immediately and scored the equaliser through Yousuf within 10 minutes. But thereafter neither team could score any goals. In the B division league, BHEL (R & D) recorded a comfortable, 4-0 win against with left-out L. Janak Kumar scoring three goals and G. Parameshwar one. In another match, BHEL (Ramachandrapuram) drubbed Nehru Hockey Club 7-1 with Samad Khan and N. Kujur striking thrice each and N. Ramulu once.
Bolarum wins
Bolarum scored a 2-0 win against Ammuguda in the Sudhakar memorial under-16 football tournament, organised by Shastri Soccer Club, at Trimulgherry Village Grounds here on Tuesday. After a barren first-half, winger Nawaz struck in the 43rd minute and within 10 minutes Arjun Singh found the target.

Vidya Jyothi recorded a six-wicket win against PRRM Engineering College in the final of the Vandemataram inter-engineering colleges cricket tournament here. The scores: PRRM Engg College 110 (Harish four for 24, Chakravarthy four for 21) lost to Vidya Jyothi 111 for four.

scores 5-wkt win
Adishankar Engineering College, Nellore, scored a five-wicket win against Adam's Engineering College, Palvancha, in the SR Champions Cup inter-engineering colleges cricket tournament at Warangal, according to information received here. The scores: Adam's Engg College, Palvancha, 101 for nine lost to Adishankar Engg College, Nellore, 104 for five (Kishore Shenoy 57 not out). Mallareddy Engg College, Hyd, 140 for six (Srava 47) bt Sri Chaitanya Engg College, Karimnagar, 121. TKR Engg College, Hyd, 138 bt Dr. Paul Raju Engg College, Badrachalam, 127 for six. Nizam ITS, Hyd, 104 for seven (Praneeth 45 not out) lost to Vazeer Sultan College of Engg, Khammam, 105 for two (Asif 56 not out). Dr. B.V. Raju ITS, Medak, 128 for nine (Ramana 63) bt Dr. V.R.K.College of Engg, Jagityal, 94 for nine (Nishanth four for 22). St. Mary's College, Hyd, 101 for nine lost to St. Ann's College of Engg, Chirala, 104 for four (Sk.Siraj 42).
CCOB wins
City College Old Boys won the A-Division (two-day) league cricket championship match when Mahaboobnagar conceded the tie after being bowled out for 152 in reply to the former's 270 for nine declared. The scores: CCOB 270 for nine decl vs Mahaboobnagar 152 (Madhu 50, Adnan Bafna four for 31). Match conceded by the latter.
Anand wins title
K.S. Anand Reddy of Brilliant Grammar School won the inaugural Gollamudi invitation chess tournament organised by Tata Chess Academy with three wins and two draws. Krishnakanth, who lost to K.Pranav in the final round, settled for second place.
Kabaddi meet
The newly-formed Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Memorial Sports Foundation will organise State-level kabaddi championship for men and women in Guntur and Krishna districts in the third week of this month, according to a press release.
OU handball team
Osmania University handball team to take part in the South-West Zone inter-university tournament in Annamalai University was announced here. The team: Nizamuddin, Chandrasekhar, Naresh, Ramulu, Arjun, Sreedhar, Vinod, Ajit Kumar, Ramesh, Mahesh, Vikram, Manik Pawar. Stand-byes: Shakeeb, Bhaskar, Praveen and Sravan.
