BANGALORE: Vijaya College scored a 10-wicket victory over Centre for Management Studies (CMS) in the qualifying cricket matches for the Vie 06, the all-India inter-college invitation Sports Fest conducted by Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College, at the National College grounds, Basavanagudi here on Tuesday. Batting first CMS was bundled out for 89 in 20 overs and Vijaya College raced to the target in quick time. Other scores: Surana College 107 in 17.3 overs lost to KLE 111 for three in 14.4 overs (K.V. Bharath n.o 57); St. Josephs Arts & Science 188 for six in 20 overs (Akshay 72) bt BNM Degree 126 in 19 overs (Sandeep four for 7); Seshadripuram 129 for seven (S. Raghavendra 63) lost to MES 130 for five in 13.4 overs; CMS 89 in 20 overs lost to Vijaya 90 for no loss (G. Sonu 50 n.o.); Kristu jayanthi 199 for five (Sagar 63) bt MS Ramaiah 112 for eight (Varun four for 17). — Sports Reporter
