Longman's series for maths wizards

CHENNAI: Universities Press, an associate of Orient Longman, has come out with a series for college students planning to compete in Mathematics olympiads.

The series is titled `Mathematical Marvels.'

The following are the titles: `Adventures in problem solving', `A primer on number sequences', `A primer on logarithms' and `A primer on divisibility' by Shailesh Shirali; `Gardner's workout' by Martin Gardner, `Mathematical circles' by Dmitri Fomin, Sergey Genkin and Ilia Itenberg, `Techniques of problem solving' by Steven G. Krantz with a solution manual by Luis Fernandez and Haedeh Gooransarab and `Excursions into Mathematics' by Anatole Beck, Michael N. Bleicher and Donald W. Crowe.
