Woman advocate knocked down by train

TAMBARAM:
A woman advocate, practising in the Madras High Court, was killed on the spot after she was hit by a train while crossing the track at Chromepet railway station on Monday.
The victim P. Vijayalakshmi, 30, was a resident of Vridhachalam Railway Colony.It is reported that the victim was crossing the track unaware of the speeding train. The accident took place around 1 p.m.
Despite several fatal accidents, people continue to cross the railway track risking their lives though a foot-over bridge is in place connecting either sides of the railway station and the four platforms.
