Programme on Malayalam poetry

KOCHI: The Department of Culture will organise Kavya Sameeksha, a special programme on Malayalam poetry, as part of the ongoing Golden Jubilee celebrations of the formation of Kerala State.

The programme will be held at the Durbar Hall on January 14 at 6 p.m. It will feature acting, visualisation and miming of works by Malayalam poets, starting from Ezhuthachan. Other main poets to be featured in the show include Cherussery, Kunchan Nambiar, Kumaranasan, Ulloor, Vallathol, Edassery, Vyloppilli, P. Kunhiraman Nair, G. Sankara Kurup, O.N.V. Kurup, Sugathakumari, N.N. Kakkad, Akkitham and Kavalam Narayana Panicker. Around 60 artistes will participate in the programme.
