Vajpayee, Advani betrayed the nation: Uma Bharti

Sultanpur (U.P.): The expelled Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Uma Bharti, on Tuesday accused senior party leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani of having "betrayed the nation."

"While Mr. Vajpayee compromised with foreign business organisations, Mr. Advani showered praise on Mohammad Ali Jinnah who was responsible for the massacre of lakhs of people during Partition," she told a public meeting at Jagadishpur near here.

She alleged that Mr. Advani "betrayed the nation by praising Mohammad Ali Jinnah" and both of them had "forgotten (Lord) Ram after assuming power." — PTI
