Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has dropped the idea of staging a Twenty20 charity encounter against the visiting Indian team during the current tour to raise funds for the October 8 earthquake victims. The decision to cancel the proposed match was taken after discussions with the BCCI officials as it was felt that it would not be possible to squeeze in an extra tie due to a tight schedule. However, PCB will dedicate gate money proceedings from the fifth and final one-day international between the two teams, to be held at Karachi on February 19, to the victims of the devastating quake, The News reported on Wednesday quoting a Pakistan Cricket Board source. The Indians have also said they would like to contribute towards the charitable cause, the source told the daily. PTI
