Workshop focusses on critical care

KOZHIKODE: A workshop organised at the Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) focussed on critical care to be provided to accidents victims and patients of other eventualities, including those who collapsed due to cardiac arrest.

The workshop provided inputs to participants on how to resuscitate the patient at the spot of the accident. The training programme was conducted on Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS). The programmewas jointly conducted by MIMS Academy, American Heart Association and the Indian Institute of Emergency Medicine.
