CHENNAI: Aspire Learning Company is all set to launch a training programme for MBA aspirants. The institute, which coaches school students appearing for competitive entrance examinations to professional courses, will begin the MBA classes by the first week of February. An `admission assurance test' will be conducted on January 21. The test, modelled on the Common Admission Test (CAT), will be evaluated along with the candidates' performance at a subsequent interview. Students in their pre-final year or final year of college and working executives are eligible to take the test. "The test will give candidates an idea of where they stand. They will know if they are CAT material," said N. Madhumati, Director, Aspire Learning Private Limited, a graduate of IIM-Bangalore herself. Based on the cut-off scores obtained in the test, candidates will be put in different batches. Candidates with high scores can enrol for an `Aspire Admission Assurance Programme', which "assures admission into one of the top 25 B-schools in the country." Besides this programme, a general coaching programme will also be conducted. College professors will teach the fundamentals, while IIM alumni will teach sections such as data interpretation and logical reasoning.
