"Do not boycott Governor's address"

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Speaker K. Kalimuthu on Thursday appealed to MLAs belonging to all the parties not to boycott the Governor's address slated for Friday.

He told reporters here that the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) alone would decide on the duration of the session. Replying to queries on the decision of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Pattali Makkal Katchi to boycott the Governor's address protesting against the commencement of the session on Bhogi, He said Bhogi was not a festival of Tamils. Asked if the parties which had decided to boycott the first day of the session would participate in the BAC meeting, he said invitations had been sent to all members of the committee.
