Three constables suspended

BANGALORE: Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) P. Muniswamy on Thursday suspended three constables attached to the Subramanyanagar police station on the charge of assaulting two persons at the station on Wednesday.

The three constables, Ramanna, Chandrashekar and Eshwar Rangannavar, allegedly assaulted Sunil and his cousin, Nagaraj, residents of Kethamaranahalli, when they had gone to the police station to lodge a complaint.

Ramanna has lodged a counter complaint that Sunil had attacked him with an empty beer bottle, causing injuries. The police have registered cases on complaints by Ramanna and Sunil.
