ISLAMABAD: At least 18 persons have been killed in the early hours of Friday, in a village in the restive Waziristan tribal agency bordering Afghanistan, following missile attack by helicopters suspected to be belonging to the American coalition forces. On Monday Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson, Tasneem Aslam had revealed that Islamabad has lodged protests with the coalition forces operating in Afghanistan against cross border firing which led to eight deaths. The Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Shaukat Sultan confirmed that huge explosions rocked Damadola Burkanday area of tehsil Mamoon in Bajur agency at 3:00 am PST on Friday. However he was not in a position to confirm either the casualties or the source of the explosions.
