HYDERABAD: Valluvarnagar scored a 4-2 win (via tie-breaker) over Unity Sports in the Sudhakar memorial (under-16) football tournament at Trimulgherry Village Grounds here. The teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Chandran, Pramod, Chandrasekhar and Satti were successful for the winners while only Rahul and Yousuf scored for the losers. In another match, St. Antony's High School defeated St. Patricks 4-3. Eugene netted a brace and Mahender and Paul scored one goal each for the winners. For the vanquished it was Justin, Kevin and Kaushal who found the target.
Easy win for IAS-IPS Officers
IAS-IPS Officers XI scored a comfortable, 59-run win against Bank Officers XI in a cricket match at Glendale Academy here. Jayesh Ranjan, HUDA vice-chairman, was the top-scorer with 43 and Vijay Kumar (SP, CID) with four for 21 were key performers for the winners. The scores: IAS-IPS Officers XI 179 for nine (Jayesh Ranjan 43 not out, Rajneesh Jain 41) bt Bank Officers XI 120 (Vijay Kumar four for 21).
Corporate basketball

Sarvesh bats well
Sarvesh Gupta scored 91 (17x4) and helped Blinking Stars XI to beat Balaji XI by six wickets in the Jai Bhagwathi trophy cricket tournament on Thursday. The scores: Balaji XI 209 for six (Nitin Agarwal 74, Manoj Agarwal 41, Govind 32) lost to Blinking Stars XI 211 for four (Sarvesh Gupta 91, Sonu Bansal 32).
