Andhra Pradesh
Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, has invited applications for the entrance test to be held on May 7 on an all-India basis, for admission to its MBBS course commencing on August 1. The test comprises biology, chemistry, physics, English language comprehension and so on.
AFMC offers free education with special concessions to meritorious students. Based on the test, 130 students (105 boys, 25 girls) will be selected and they will have to serve as commissioned officers for a minimum of seven years
Medical fitness
All students should be medically fit. Only unmarried students are eligible to apply and marriage during the course is not permitted.
Last date
Prospectus and application forms can be obtained for Rs. 250 from major post offices in the State.
For obtaining application forms by post, send a bank draft of any nationalised bank payable at Pune in favour of Commandant, AFMC, Pune, along with two self-addressed slips (9 x 5 cm), a self-addressed envelop of 11"x13" size affixed with postage stamp of Rs.55 and a requisition letter to the officer-in-charge (admission cell), Armed Forces Medical College, Pune - 411 040 before January 31.
