BELGAUM: A pall of gloom descended on Kenginhal village in Bilhongal taluk as three brothers aged between eight and 12 years drowned in the Malaprabha on Saturday. According to the police, the victims had gone for a bath in the river along with their family members as part of the Sankranti festivities. The deceased have been identified as Arjun Bhovi (12), Shivanna Bhovi (10) and Fakeerappa Bhovi (8). The bodies of the deceased have been recovered.
