KURNOOL: Senior advocate and former member of Juvenile Justice Board N. Sriramulu said police should be more careful while investigating offences committed by juveniles. Addressing an awareness meeting of Juvenile Act for police officers at Dhone on Sunday, he said the age on the juvenile on the day of offence be taken into consideration and not the date of arrest. Mr. Sriramulu said in many cases the juveniles were shown orphans, though their parents were alive. He called upon the police officers to inspect the scene of offence and the environment in which the accused lived for first hand information. Member Magistrate D. Narasimhacharlu, Inspector Bhaskar Reddy and others were present.
