Dharwad ZP: JD(S) decision soon

HUBLI: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Basavaraj S. Horatti has said that the Dharwad district unit of the Janata Dal (Secular) will abide by the decision of the party's President H.D. Deve Gowda on continuing in the coalition Government.

Addressing a meeting here on Friday got up to felicitate the party candidates who won in the zilla and taluk panchayat elections, Mr. Horatti said a decision will be taken on January 21 regarding forming an alliance to capture power in the Dharwad Zilla Panchayat.

Responsibility

It is the responsibility of the leaders of the Janata Dal (S) as well as the Congress to adopt the coalition model at the zilla and taluk panchayat level, he said.

Mr. Horatti called upon party members to be prepared to face political crisis in the coming days.Shivanand Holehadagali, Janata Dal (S) district unit President, presided over the meeting. Former MLA Shivanand Ambadagatti and Janata Dal (S) State unit General Secretary N.H. Konareddy were present.
