NAAC ties up with Australian agency

BANGALORE: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) formed a strategic partnership with Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) for cooperation and understanding between the two agencies here recently.

An official release from NAAC stated that a memorandum of cooperation was signed between V.S. Prasad, Director of NAAC, and David Woodhouse, Executive Director of AUQA.

NAAC has been a premier national quality assurance agency to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country.

AUQA is a similar agency carrying out and reporting publicly on quality audits of the universities, accrediting agencies and other higher education institutes in Australia.

The memorandum of cooperation marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation and interaction between the two agencies.
